Sound exciting? Well, it is! First, we head out to catch our bait for the day. Then off to the “Hot Spot” for the day, depending on conditions and time of season we chose Halibut (most trips) Lingcod and when around the elusive White Seabass. We will always target what will give us the best opportunity to be successful in landing a quality Gamefish.
We use levelwind reels with high capacity and smooth drags loaded with 20lb line and 7′ fiberglass rods with fast action and a soft tip to detect movements in our baits, this gives us time to react without spooking the enticed predator. leaders are tied enroute to the fishing grounds for the bait and fish targeted, fluorocarbon and owner hooks are mainly used.
