Salmon and whales, perfect day!!

Wow, today was amazing!! Big fish, and spectacular whale show despite the threat of looming bad weather.

On our way south to our planned fishing grounds we stopped  and dropped some lines so we could enjoy a huge pod of feeding humpback whales where we hooked a small salmon which we let go.  While the wind remained low we headed on to our grounds. The action remained strong all morning as we boated 6 hog salmon to 20lbs, we lost another handful. As we started to head back in the rain began to fall.  Air was 55′ with water 54′. Light rains in afternoon with a continual threat of sunshine during our charter and light winds.
