Opening Salmon Day

Gorgeous day on the Bay today with great conditions. We saw a lot of whales and temperatures were perfect with 55′ water and 65′ air. You know if I start talking about whales first, the fishing wasn’t the best but that doesn’t mean our group of guys didn’t have an awesome time.  A few salmon were caught across the bay but not by us. We had one bite that didn’t make it over the gunwale. We pulled crab pots, and drifted the shallows for rockfish. We ended with a rockfish, and a halibut. We will be at it again tomorrow!
